Kimberly Hancher
Kimberly Hancher has been a contributing member of the Federal Information Technology (IT) community for over 25 years. She began her career at the Department of Veterans Affairs managing technical support for mainframes, minicomputers, and local area networks supporting over 10,000 users. She joined the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in March 1998 charged with leadership of the E-Government Program - electronic filing, electronic licensing and public access systems. Since 2008, Kimberly Hancher has served as the chief information officer (CIO) for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, coordinating all information technology service management for the EEOC headquarters and more than 50 field locations.
Ms. Hancher has been active with The Angels Network since 2000. For several years, she directed its Intern Mentoring Program, which provided college-age summer interns with lunchtime seminars about the value of philanthropy and the importance of networking, effective interviewing, personal presentation and money management skills. She was the CIO for The Angels Network from 2004 to 2007 with lead responsibility for the group's Web site and electronic communications. Ms. Hancher was president of The Angels Network from 2007 to 2010.
