The Angels Network reception on October 17 raised over $9,000 in cash, Giant Food Cards and a new computer system for Borromeo Housing, Inc, a transitional housing program for homeless single women under the age of 21 with children. The event was held at Flemings in Tyson’s Corner and co-sponsored by two leaders in technology – John Sanders—Chairman of Washington DC Technology Council and Gary Nakamoto—CEO of Base Technologies, Inc. Those wonderful women executives at Price Waterhouse Coopers hosted an event to benefit Homestretch, Inc., a Northern Virginia program that provides over 100 families with subsidized housing and support services for up to two years. The Angels Network Italian Festival on March 4 raised over $12,000 for Crossway Community in Kensington, Maryland, to support its work with low-income, at-risk families headed by single parents. The Angels Network is in the news! In an article about "Giving Circles" the Washington Post interviewed Angels Network Board Members: Cathy Lange, Kathy Woodward and Kelly Nakamoto, at Homestretch, a transitional housing program that helps families learn how to prepare themselves for independence.
