Nanci Schimizzi

Nanci Schimizzi is Vice President and Chief of Staff for Technology Operations at FINRA (formerly NASD).

FINRA oversees every securities firm doing business in the US – more than 5,000 firms with 660,000 registered representatives and its mission is investor protection and market integrity. Nanci’s responsibilities include running the technology operations for the organization and developing and executing on the technology strategy. She also directs all efforts around resource management for the 500 person technology organization.

Nanci has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry both in business and technology roles. Prior to joining FINRA, Nanci was a Consulting Manager with Logica North America. She also held positions at Pentagon Federal Credit Union, First Florida Bank (now Wachovia) and Florida Federal Savings.

Nanci is currently the Vice President for the Board of Directors for Shelter House, Inc. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors as Membership chair for Women in Technology and is the past chair and current communication chair for the Capital Area Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). She is also a member of the American University Information Technology Executive Advisory Group.
